Q. Tremcards on dangerous goods vehicles cant be used anymore ?
A. ADR 2009 came into being on 1 Jan 2009 with a lead in period until July 2009. ADR 2009 has a new layout for Instructions in Writing. This must be used from July 2009.
Q. If I already have a CPC do I need to do a driver CPC ?
A. CPC or Certificate of Professional Competence is a generic term, the two are not related as qualifications. If you are a driver you will still require a driver CPC.
Q. My ADR has run out, can I still do a refresher.
A. No, you have to start again, by attending an initial course, and taking the exams.
Q. Does ADR count toward Driver CPC
A. YES, Hargreaves have now recieved approval to be able to register, 7 hours of a refresher course, and 21 hours of an initial course toward a driver cpc, although there is a small extra cost to upload your information.
Q. Has the driving test for LGV changed
A. Yes, the driving test will consist of four parts, Module1 theory test and hazard perception, Module 2 case study, Module 3 Practical driving test, and Module 4 Driver cpc practical test.
Q. Do I need a licence to drive a fork truck
A. All Fork truck operators must undergo basic training, and hold a basic training certificate for the type of machine they operate.
