ADR (Drivers) Initial Course
ADR AND DRIVER CPC Periodic Training You are now able to register 21 hours for Driver CPC You must attend at least the first three days -Core Packages and classes 2,3,4,5,6,8,9
Note: that there is an additional charge to register NB. Tanks and exams cannot be registered for Driver CPC
The course is constructed on a modular basis and can take between three and five days to complete depending on the number of modules and classes the candidate wishes to take.
There is a separate examination for each module and class and these are held on the final day of the course.
The course always commences with the Core Module followed by the Packaged Goods, Classes and Tanker Modules.
Details of the examinations can be obtained from the training centre you wish to attend.
Courses run on a regular basis throughout the year at our centre in Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield and Bury St Edmunds.
Bespoke courses covering any combination of modules and classes can be arranged to suit a company's requirements.
The four main elements:
Core Module This contains information common to drivers of all vehicles including Emergency Aid and Fire Extinguishers.
Tanker Module Specialist module for drivers of road tankers or tank containers.
Packaged Goods Module Specialist module for drivers of vehicles carrying packaged goods.
A series of specific classes covering substances identified under their Hazard Heading.
Class 1 Explosives.* (Bury St Edmunds only)
Class 2 Gases.
Class 3 Flammable Liquids.
Class 4 Flammable Solids.
Class 5 Oxidising Substances, Organic Peroxides.
Class 6 Toxic and Infectious Substances.
Class 7 Radioactives.*
Class 8 Corrosives.
Class 9 Miscellaneous.
*Hargreaves does not offer these classes
To obtain an ADR certificate, a driver must attend and pass exams on a minimum:
The Core Module.
Either a Tanker or Packaged Goods Module.
And at least one specific class.
