INITIAL DRIVER CPC (LICENCE AQUISITION)

Initial Qualification for new truck drivers

From 10 September 2009 all new LGV drivers have to gain this qualification to drive commercially

Licence categories: C1, C, C+E 

 

PERIODIC DRIVER CPC

Periodic training for current LGV licence holders

Effects all professional LGV drivers 

They have to complete periodic training of 35 hours.

with Initial Driver CPC (Licence Aquisition)
To become a licenced driver and successfully gain the DRIVER CPC a new driver must pass the following 4 modules:
  • Theory and Hazard Awareness test (Module 1).
  • Case study questions and answers (Module 2).
  • Practical Driving Test
  • (Module 3).
  • Practical Demonstration Test (Module4 ).
STAY QUALIFIED
with Periodic Driver CPC
Truck drivers need to do 35 hours training every 5 years covering the following topics:
  • Drivers' Hours & Tachographs (Module 1)
  • Safe Vehicle Operations and Loading (Module 2)
  • Safe and Economic Driving (Module 3)
  • Health and Safety (Module 4)
  • Systems & Procedures for Safe, Efficient & Secure Transport Operations (Module 5)
