Work Based Learning for Adults

Work Based Learning for Adults is a scheme aimed at giving young adults the chance to gain their first Level 2 qualification.

 The trainee will first enrol onto the programme and complete an initial assessment of their numeracy and literacy skills.

Candidates have the option of enrolling onto Skills for Life training and learning to prepare for National Tests in Numeracy and Literacy at Levels 1 and 2, though this in not compulsory.

The candidate will then undertake a Level 2 Storage and Warehousing NVQ.

Wherever necessary RTITB FLT training is included in the delivery of the Storage and Warehousing NVQ at NO COST TO YOU.

Training is available on counterbalance and reach trucks for novice or experienced operators or for those who need a refresher course.

Comprehensive Training including:

  • Fully funded through the LSC, training delivered at no cost to the employer.
  • Full Level 2 NVQ in Storage and Warehousing
  • Quality RTITB FLT Training on either a counterbalance or reach truck. Duration of practical training depends on candidate's experience.
  • Assessment in your workplace.
  • Flexible delivery.


Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must be:

  • Employed
  • Pre-level 2 in prior achievement
  • Aged 16-18
  • Interested in completing an industry recognised qualification
  • Working in the warehouse and fork truck environment


Availability:
Companies must be based in either West or South Yorkshire.
This programme is offered subject to conditions and availability.
