The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, Duties of Employers - Section 2. The employers main general duties are to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare at work of all their employees, in particular: "the provision of any required information, Instruction, Training and supervision.
Now ask yourself:
- Do your employees receive adequate instruction and training from a recognised training organisation?
- Are your employees competent?

Why should they attend?
The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 often refers to, "competent persons" and "reasonably practicable" indicating that both employers and employees should have a sound knowledge of health and safety issues. This can only be demonstrated if that person has received adequate training, normally from a recognised training organisation, such as Hargreaves.
