Class C + E
Class C Licence Holder To Class C+E
This course is for drivers who want to upgrade their Class C (rigid) licence to enable them to drive a Class C + E vehicle.
The ideal way of learning to drive an LGV is by attending a block course of training. This allows us to structure the course to meet your individual requirements as identified in the driving assessment.
Our aim is to gradually develop your skills and knowledge over the prescribed period of training enabling you to reach test standard by the completion of the course
A driving assessment will determine the duration of the course, however our experience reveals that most candidates will require 5 days driver training practice in preparation for the LGV practical test.
Hargreaves is able to offer courses flexible in duration depending on the results of the driving assessment or for those individuals who feel that they need a longer course.
The driver training course will include:
- On the road driving tuition with a qualified instructor
- Manoeuvring exercises
- Coupling and uncoupling
Driving Test
Your driving test will be booked for you and will normally take place on the final day of your course.
The test will be carried out at a local Department of Transport Test Centre. A written report will be given to you at the end of the test.
Eligible candidates must be:
- Aged 18+
- Fully licensed to drive a Class C vehicle
- In possession of a valid provisional C+E LGV licence (usually automatically added to a drivers licence when passing the Class C test)
- Physically fit
