Advanced Apprentice
.
What Is An Advanced Apprenticeship?
Your employer will provide you with full support and the necessary experience for you to achieve your qualification.
This support combined with the off job training at our training centre in either Leeds or Sheffield will prove invaluable in your success.
Advanced Apprenticeships are aimed at the technicians and managers of the future.
They are a higher level of qualification and are based around a national framework, which includes an NVQ and technical diploma at Level 3, and Key Skills in Application of Number and Communication at level 2 and Information Communication Technology (ICT) at level 1.
Advanced Apprenticeships are 'jobs with training' and are available in many occupations. You will be required to show a high level of commitment to the training.
How Will I Be Trained?
You will be trained by a well qualified team of tutors and assessors whose job it is to ensure that you receive the highest quality training.
You will be required to attend our training centre on a specified day each week on day release.
An Advanced Apprenticeship will take approximately two years to complete but this is purely a guideline and will depend upon your progress and commitment.
How Much Will I Be Paid?
Your employer will pay you a wage which reflects your position within the company as an Advanced Apprentice.
You will sign a written contract with your employer. The contract will set out your terms and conditions of employment. Your wage is part of these conditions of service.
Please note that the National Minimum wage does not apply to advanced apprentices below the age of 19.
