Pre-apprentice

Via our Entry to Employment (E2E) programme.

The prime aim of E2E is to enable learners to progress into employment with training or onto further learning programmes.

Entry to employment provides for entry level to Level 1 on the work based learning route for those young people not yet ready or able to access a level 2 learning programme, apprenticeships or employment

Each learner is provided with an individualised learning programme. This is designed specifically to meet their individual learning needs.

The programme will include three core strands: basic and key skills, vocational skills and development, along with personal and social development.

Learners will have opportunities to gain a motor vehicle award at Level 1 and qualifications in numeracy and/or literacy up to level 2.

Learners on the E2E programme attend the Leeds Training Centre for a minimum of 16 hours over 3 days, increasing to 35 hours a week once they are ready for a work placement.

Referrals to this programme are usually made via Future Pathways-igen or direct by careers advisors.
