History

Founded in 1967 Hargreaves Training Services was originally the Training Department of the Hargreaves Group of Companies. At that time the company operated one of the largest tanker fleets in the U.K. and, to ensure the highest standards of competence, all drivers received initial and on-going training from the company's own internal Training Department.

 

Changing Times

Over the years Hargreaves Training Services became an independent company and has constantly changed to meet not only the ever changing training needs of the transport and logistics industry but has also diversified into heavy plant, motor vehicle mechanic and health and safety training.

The "Services to Business" range of programmes and qualifications have also been added to broaden employer and employee choice across a wider and more diverse range of qualifications in the occupational areas of Business Administration, Customer Service, Information Technology Qualification, Team Leading and Management at Level 3.

 

Today "Enhancing Peoples Lives"

Hargreaves Training Services is now one of the oldest established training company's in the UK delivering training into multiple industry sectors.

It has a true national footprint and is able to deliver practical skills training from its 7 regional training centres.

In addition Hargreaves Training Services has embraced technology as an effective learning medium and has integrated this technology into its delivery methodology including Learndirect and other on line mediums.

The most recent addition to the company's portfolio of products and services is its recently developed Drivers CPC qualifications

Hargreaves Training Services holds accreditations for a wide and diverse range of training programmes and qualifications with: City & Guilds - OCR- .- DSA - R.T.I.T.B - I.M.I./Automotive Skills - B.C.S. - Skills for Logistics - S.Q.A - SAFED - I.O.S.H. - C.I.E.H. and is a JAUPT accredited Centre for the delivery of the 'New' E.U legislative requirement for the Driver CPC which became law on the 10th September 2009. All this of course means our tutors/instructors are all registered with the UK's foremost Awarding Bodies thus providing assurance and training of the highest quality.
